Mira crouched on the rooftop, looking out over the city of Luthadel. Ever since she had found out about her allomancy, she had done this every night. A thin layer of mist clung to the air and dampened her cheeks, there had been no ashfall today, and so the area was rather clean, though piles of ash from before still lay in many places.
The night was silent and still. No one came out when the mists were about, no one except the Mistings and Mistborn. Yet every night, as she stared through the darkness, she never saw anyone like her. It was always quiet, and sometimes she felt like the only one of her kind in the world.
Mira was a Coinshot. Upon ingesting steel she could push off metal to leap through the air, that was the reason she always carried such a large bag of coins with her. Plus, why, conveniently placed in her mouth, was a single coin which she flicked around with her tongue. She did this so that if anyone knocked the coins from her, or a Misting tore them away from her, she would always have that spare coin. Also, it was within her body, so no Misting could get a hold of it.
Leaning forwards, Mira looked down onto the alley below. It was too dark to see, unless you were a Tineyes, but she still narrowed her eyes as though it would help her see clearer. It didn't. There were a lot of places she couldn't see as she stared back across the roofs. If there was a Misting out there, she wouldn't be able to spot them.
Mira stood up, stretching out her aching limbs and placing a hand into her coin bag. She produced a small one and flicked it into the street just below her. When she heard it clink and hit the ground she pulled out a single vial containing small shards. These steel remnants allowed her to use her allomantic ability, and as she swallowed them she could feel the power inside her.
Teetering on the edge of the roof, Mira flared her steel slightly, awakening it's power. She could see faint traces of lines to nearby metal sources, and directly below, she could see a single line leading to her coin. Before leaving, however, she scanned the horizon once more. Many Mistings carried metal on them, and with her allomancy she would be able to see if any metal was moving which may indicate someone like her was about. But the lines stayed still, nothing moved in the eerie mist.
Mira stepped off the edge, falling vertically towards the coin. She pushed on it, just slightly, to slow her descent. When she got it perfect, she could hover over it for a few seconds, but that took severe concentration and tonight she didn't have the focus for it.
Upon landing on the ground, she scooped up the coin and sprinted off into the streets. She could use her allomancy to bound gracefully through the air, but she only had a small supply and there was no point in wasting it. If she did come to use it, she wanted to make sure she was stocked with as much as she had.
Fountain Square opened up before her and she paused to breathe in it's beauty. There weren't many nice things in Luthadel, Mira didn't even think the Noble Houses were that great. But for some reason she had always found this place to fascinating. She moved forwards, still using her steel to see if there was anybody moving nearby. Everything was still.
Standing at the edge of the fountains, Mira relaxed slightly, letting her steel subside and calming her mind and body, listening carefully to the sounds of Luthadel.

OCC: Ha ha! My random insert of informant Freya! ^.^ By the way, I'll probably end up replying just once a day. My teachers seem to hate me... I’m blending in so You won’t even know me
Mists. One thing Aen never fully understood about humans was their illogical terror of the unknown. The most common embodiment of which was the mists. So to explain their fear they came up with myths and terrors that hid just outside the door. The most amusing of which turned mistwraiths into a misunderstood kandra; anyone who went into the night mists could be suspected of being a mistwraith in disguise. Now Aen simply stood against a wall, perfectly imitating the girl once known as Freya. A mistwraith in disguise. The very idea made Aen want to laugh aloud.
Tonight Aen let her blessing-enhanced mind wander much more than usual while she peered aimlessly out of the alley at Fountain Square. She had been almost an hour in this alley way and while the stench of forgotten and decaying trash had been overwhelming at first, Aen could almost ignore it now. Just as she was ignoring the burning stiffness in her legs.
Suddenly a flicker of movement caught her eye and Aen, as Freya, quickly zoned in on the square. Tall, possibly female, approaching the Fountain. Either this was the crew member sent to talk to Freya, a well known and reliable informant, or some other random skaa who happened to wander into the Fountain Square, at night, with mists out. I’m going to guess crew member, Aen thought to herself. Then paranoia crept in. Perhaps it’s just a crew member pretending to be the other crew-member and in fact intercepted the real crew member and is here to kill Freya… I mean me.
Aen couldn’t risk losing this body, to do so would mean a possible beating and if not it would at least be a red mark on her contract record. Indecision stopped Aen from walking to the mysterious person. Risk her body or stay uncomfortable in this alley?

Shriken stalked slowly through the mist, a stake in each hand, ready for any sudden movement. He had been sent as a forward scout for a crew. His dark form moved quickly through the mists. As a feuralchemist himself, he was often in the mists for various jobs. A scuffling of feet on the pavement just around the corner. Shrike froze, trying to locate the source. Leaning towards the wall, Shrike started tapping into his anklets, which were made of pewter.
Shriken climbed up the wall of the building, dodging the always shut window's shutters. The roof gave him a good view of the fountains ahead of him. Layed out before him like a book, Shrike observed all he could about the area. He saw two girls, each on other sides off the fountain, which dominated the area. He flicks his wrist, bringing the stakes back into his hands. He chuckled, Still paranoid aren't I... but here, that's a good trait to have...[/i] He moved forward, mist twirling around his giant form. He settled into a position on the edge of the roof, covered, but with just enough space to see the goings on in the fountain square without being seen.
